Product Care

A well-cared-for bag only gets better with time. Here's how to keep yours looking its best.

Daily Care

  • Avoid placing your bag on rough or dirty surfaces
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources for extended periods
  • Avoid contact with water, oils, perfume, and cosmetics
  • Be mindful of dark clothing that may transfer colour onto lighter bags

Cleaning

For everyday marks, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth and allow the bag to air dry naturally — never use a hair dryer or place near direct heat.

We do not recommend using chemical cleaners, leather wipes, or household products, as these may damage the finish of your bag.

Storage

  • Store your bag in the dust bag provided when not in use
  • Stuff the interior with soft tissue paper to help maintain its shape
  • Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid storing in plastic bags, as leather needs to breathe
  • Keep bags separated to avoid colour transfer between pieces

Hardware

Wipe metal hardware with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints and maintain its finish. Avoid contact with water, perfume, and abrasive materials. Over time, hardware may develop a natural patina — this is normal and part of the character of your bag.

Water & Spills

If your bag gets wet, gently blot the surface with a soft cloth immediately. Do not rub. Allow the bag to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat. Stuffing the bag with tissue paper while drying will help it hold its shape.

A Note on Natural Materials

Each Lunelle bag is unique. Slight variations in texture, grain, and colour are natural characteristics of the material — not defects. With proper care, your bag will soften and develop a beautiful patina over time, becoming truly yours.
